It is always an honor to team up with my friend’s over at Spoonflower! Be sure to read all the way through because I have something special for one of you! Now, lets talk about this BRAND NEW fabric Spoonflower just released! It is their New Petal Signature Cotton and it was such a dream to work with. When they first asked me to collaborate I wasn’t sure what type of garment would be best to make with woven cotton— especially because I basically avoid buttons at all cost. I finally decided I would challenge myself and make a button up top. Mimi G had just released her new Spring pattern and I am always up for supporting my friends. The pattern is Simplicity 8889 view A.

The design on the other hand was a no brainer since my girl Katie Kortman recently released some designs with Spoonflower. I have some lycra in this print waiting to become a bikini! Keep up the amazing work Katie girl (This is Us reference…if you watch)!

Okay so not only am I telling you all about this amazing new fabric but I have a chance for one of you beautiful people to win 3 YARDS of this new fabric in ANY design of your choice! All you have to do is leave a comment below letting me know what you would make with your three yards! Please include your Instagram handle if you are on IG. The winner will be announced Monday, May 20, 2019. I will contact the winner via IG and if you are not on there then I will email you!

Ooh, I would make a shirt dress for summer—something comfortable for sightseeing during my August trip to London! Xoxo

Oh I love sound of that! I am visiting London in June and I think I may need to pack this top!
Hi! I’d use 2 yards for palazzo style pants and the other yard for a flowy cropped tank with a coordinating headband. I enjoy being cool, comfy and unrestricted. (tash_pash)

I Like 50’s style!
This shirt is SO FAB!! I would make myself cute co-ord set of culottes and a boxy top with Katie’s “dashes” collection – maybe big dashes on the bottom and big on the top! How cute would that look?!
I love to get the most out of my fabric so I would use the leftovers to make a cute dress for my new baby niece and maybe a hair tie or scrunchie! ☺️

I love your shirt! I would probably use it to make the new Untitled Thoughts Amelie Dress! I already have the pattern: I just haven’t found the fabric yet. 🙂 (@craftingflaneuse)

Daniesha…this shirt is fire. The print is amazing.
Im stepping out of fear and would make the same Simplicity 8889 by Mimi G. Buttonholes and zippers have help me back long enough. @cookieface71

Yes for stepping out of the box! I believe in you!
I’d make a Tinny-dress for both my little girls & maybe even a shirt for my equally cute boy 😉 I’m sure I can squeeze it all out of 3 yards!

Yes to the dress!
I would probably make a shirt dress in something nerdy and mathematical for teaching next year. Did you find this fabric worked well for a garment? Its not too stiff like quilting fabric?
Author
It was perfect for this shirt. I actually was going to make a shirt dress at first!
I love this top and fabric! I’d make a sundress for myself and some sort of hair accessories for my little girls.

Yes to scrap busting!

Love it! That was my original plan.
This is so lovely! I live right near Spoonflower (I am in Chapel Hill) and have yet to order fabric! I would make either a Kalle or Alder shirt dress. So inspiring!
Author
Omg I want to visit one day! How cool that you live so close! And I love the kalle shirt dress!
I’m a beginner and I just love this print! I also love the pattern you selected – I know this isn’t so creative but I would make the shirt you have on. It’s cute, stylish and from a beginners prespective looks like a doable challenge! @amelliablythe is my insta! 🙂
Author
I think that is a perfect beginner make especially since there is a sew along video!
Ohhhh love it! I would make a shift dress! Any left over material would be used to make a clutch/purse and matching scrunchie!

I think I would definitely have to make another Zadie, but I’ve also had my eyes on the Kalle Shirt Dress too, and I bet it would be beautiful in this vibrant fabric. ❤️ (@ambrosiakramer)
