Wrappin’ It Up This Spring

I was honored to be invited to the wedding of one of my best friend’s in middle school and so I decided that I was going to make my own dress to wear! I  chose McCall 7745 View A and used this beautiful floral print I bought from Hobby Lobby which is unfortunately sold out. I bought it a few months ago but was waiting for the perfect wrap dress pattern to make it in and M7745 was IT Quick pattern review of McCall 7745:

Pattern Description: Misses’ wrap dresses with ties, sleeves and length variations

Pattern Rating: Easy as long as you are familiar with all skills like understitching, ease stitching, etc.

Fabric Used: Sold out

Pattern Sizing: I cut a size 12 but I usually use size 12 for the bodice and 14 for the lower half.

Likes/ Dislikes: I love EVERYTHING about this pattern! My favorite part is all the flounce!

Skill Level: I honestly think that anyone who knows the basic of sewing and has a  little patience can master this pattern! The envelope does say easy and I agree it just takes a little patience for things like all the hemming.

Alterations/Changes: The only change I will make is shortening the bodice a bit

Would you sew it again? Yes, I am thinking about making another view of this amazing dress.

As I sew I love to see my project all pieced together before I actually begin sewing so in the first picture it is all pinned onto the mannequin. Then when I complete my project I always give my mannequin a chance to rock the complete outfit with shoes included.

P.S. yes I am extra and I hung up the balloons I had for my 27th birthday!

Great job! I’m working on this pattern now. Hopefully can get it done over the weekend. I’m an advanced beginner and I made the muslin first. It wasn’t too difficult but I do need to adjust the bust dart, I need to lower it an inch. So I’m a little worried about that but I think I’ll manage! Wish me luck ! Yours turned out great. Love your fabric choice
