I am sew excited to share with you all the first of my three velvet bodysuits I have sewn up to start off 2018! I am actually working on my fourth one and this one will be more of a transformation/re-purpose project so be on the look out for that as well!
This bodysuit is made with Simplicity 8513 which I am so happy I got my hands on via my friend Zoe! I did view A with some minor modifications. For the lace up in the front I omitted the very top loops and if I were to make it again I would actually have used the loops I removed to add at the bottom of the V. My friend Zoe made it with that modification to the loops after seeing mine and I definitely love the way it came out. I purchased this velvet fabric at Hobby Lobby when the fall fabrics went on clearance and I snagged it for under $4/yd.
**Tip: shop Hobby Lobby, and even other stores, fabrics at the end of the season for a super discounted price and then you will have a stash for the following year!**
