Everyone meet Zoe! Zoe found me on Instgram when I was featured on McCall Pattern’s story wearing this amazing dress here. I followed her back and we would respond to each other’s insta stories. When I realized she was in Los Angeles I told her about Curvy Curly Conscious, but she was unable to attend because she worked that day.
I decided to see if she was free Friday morning to grab breakfast and she was! She suggested Blu Jam Cafe and I am now suggesting it to you all! You must get the french toast! I ordered their signature dish called the Crunchy French Toast and she got Maui French Toast. I also recommend ordering a side of bacon!
Crunchy French Toast: French brioche dipped in our secret batter, rolled in crunchy corn flakes and grilled to perfection, topped with fresh berries, served with powdered sugar and vanilla bean sauce
I love the decor and the ambiance in this side room where we sat and ate! After breakfast we walked around the corner and visited The Last Bookstore in Downtown LA. I loved the art made out of books along with the awesome little shops on the second level.
Look at all these awesome antique cameras! I would love to have an antique Polaroid camera.
Guys I found an entire selection of children songs on records. It included Pink Panther and Alice and the Wonderland! I definitely need a record player and a lot more visits to The Last Bookstore.
I had been wanting to purchase Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur for some time. On my way out the bookstore I spotted it and I knew in that moment I had to have it. I am slowly getting back into reading. I was telling Zoe that I used to read a lot but then when I got to high school and did the IB program then majored in Education I started to loathe reading because it became a requirement! I will be sharing soon about my latest read My Way Will Do Just Fine by Tieko Nejon.
Grab a book and indulge….until next time!
